Mary Jacqueline Halbert DeRossett Wolverton, age 86, of Martin, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, in Lexington.

She was born Sept. 23, 1926, at Printer, a daughter of the late James Ervin “Bucky” and Mary Ellen Allen Halbert. She was a seamstress and a homemaker.

Survivors include, two sons, Doug Derossett, of Prestonsburg, and Ed DeRossett, of Allen; three daughters, Janet Hall, of Drift, Judi DeRossett, of Martin, and Renee Thornsberry, of Martin; two brothers, Joe Ed “Love” Halbert, of Terra Haute, Ind., and John Henry Halbert, of Printer; a sister, Marietta “Lucy” Reynolds, of Printer; 10 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Cecil DeRossett; second husband, Elmer B. Wolverton; a son, Dennis Michael DeRossett; a brother, Clayburn Halbert; and a sister, Myrile Parsons.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 3, in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Tom Biddle and Johnny Patton officiating. Burial followed in Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.
