PRESTONSBURG — Communities Against Drug Addiction is looking for new members, and the chance to join will take place next week, when a recruitment meeting is held.
The meeting will take place at noon, Tuesday, in the third-floor meeting room of the Floyd County Health Department.
Speaking at the meeting will be Det. Adam Dixon, with Prestonsburg Police, who will discuss what law enforcement is doing to prevent drug abuse and its associated problems, as well as how the public can help.
According to an announcement from CADA, the group is for anyone “concerned about overdose deaths, theft and vandalism associated with the illegal drug problem in our communities.”
A free lunch from Pit-Stop BBQ will be provided.
