Robert Hart, president of the Appalachian Chapter of National Association of Royalty Owners, has announced that the Appalachian Chapter will again host its annual members conference, Sept. 24-26, at the Greenbrier Hotel, in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.

This conference will feature presentations by national experts on the development of valuable hydrocarbons in the Utica and Marcellus Shales of West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania along with other geologic formations in Kentucky and the Appalachian basin area. In addition to drawing land and mineral owners from the northeastern region of the United States, attendees will be coming from other oil and gas producing areas of the U.S.

Continuing education programs will be offered for attorneys and accountants desiring to learn more about issues associated with leasing, drilling, producing, and marketing natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids.

Specialists from industry and government will be speaking about the economic impact and job creation associated with the Utica and Marcellus Shales. Leasing, royalty accounting, field operations, the potential for using compressed natural gas in commercial and passenger vehicles, and exporting liquefied natural gas from the U.S. east coast will also be discussed.

Jerry Simmons, NARO executive director, and David Sykes, NARO’s national president, will be speaking about NARO’s role in the nation’s petroleum industry.

The conference is open to all NARO members and non-members. More information is available at 877-341-3244 or hartpetro@gmail.com.

NARO is the only national organization solely representing oil and gas royalty owners’ interests.
