Man stabbed in family dispute

DAVIN — A family dispute over money has left a man with several stab wounds to his body.
West Virginia State Troopers T.D. Boggs and R.E. Stowers responded to a call on Friday, August 10, at Davin, where they arrested and charged Danny Joe Mullins, 45, of Man, with malicious wounding, domestic assault and domestic battery.
The complaint states that the victim, Danny Harper, “advised that he and the defendant, Danny Mullins, got in a family dispute over money.”
Mullins reportedly used a razor blade and cut Harper several times on his stomach, chest and hands. Officers observed several “deep lacerations” on Harper’s body and were advised by medical staff that the wound on the stomach was 20 inches long and one-half inch deep.
Mullins was reportedly a nephew to the victim.
Mullins was arraigned in magistrate’s court and was released on a $25,000 bond.
• A small child was removed from a residence in the Gilman Bottom area following charges of child abuse on August 11.
According to a criminal complaint filed by WVSP Tpr. S.A. Belt, he, along with Child Protective Services, spoke to a 7-year-old male who had “noticeable bruising on the right side of the eye area of the face… noticeable bruising on the right ear and right side of the head.”
Tpr. Belt spoke with the child who stated that is mother, Christine Bailey, “hit him because she got made (sic) at him.”
Tpr. Belt arrested and charged Bailey, 41, with child abuse. She was released on a $3,500 bond.
In other court news:
• Vicki Lynn Rodighiero, 50, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and brandishing a deadly weapon on August 11 by WVSP R.G. Flippen. She was released on a $2,500 bond.
• Earnest Lee Plumley, 43, was arrested and charged with driving suspended/revoked for DUI 3rd offense, registration violation, motor vehicle inspection, no proof of insurance and registration violation on August 11 by WVSP Tpr. J.G. Honaker. He is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $7,500 bond.
