Grady Colin Kelley, 68, of Williamson, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Williamson Memorial Hospital.


He was born December 12, 1943, in Fort Gay, a son of Mildred Lea Campbell Kelly and the late Grady O. Kelly.


In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife Fredia Spears Kelley.


Colin was an amazing husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle and son. He was a loyal friend to many, he was an outdooorsman, a retired railroader for 40 years for N&S Railroad. He was a former West Virginia Legislator, A U.S. Army Veteran, and entrepreneur, Democrat of the year several times, he loved to travel and was an accomplished cook.


Survivors include, his mother, Mildred Kelly of Fort Gay; one daughter, Amanda (Terry) Jackson of Columbus, Ohio; one son, Grady Colin (Shelley) Kelley of Williamson; three sisters, Jean Nash of Mansfield, Ohio; Carol (Richard) Maynard of Fort Gay; Rita (Keith) Spears of Huntington; four brothers, Dale (Christine) Kelly of Fort Gay; Roger (Lottie) Kelly of Fort Gay; Rodney (Tammy) Kelly of Louisa, Ky.; Joe (Robin) Kelly of Fort Gay; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Barbara and Willie Ray Spears of Fort Gay; three grandchildren, Jaylon Jackson, Malia Jackson, and Chloe Kelley.


Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday and Salt Petre Christian Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the Campbell-Kelly Cemetery, Fort Gay. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday at Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church, Nolen, and after 4 p.m. Saturday at Salt Petre Christian Baptist Church, Fort Gay.
