Marcus Combs, 73, of Hazard, passed away on Wednesday, September 12 at the Hazard ARH medical center. He was a retired track foreman for the railroad and a local business owner for 32 years in Ary.

He was the son of the late Dewey Combs and the late Lunea Ritchie Combs.

He is survived by his wife, Merleen Combs; daughter Cindy Combs; sons Anthony Wayne Combs and husband Paula, and Jeffery Combs and Linda Faye; sisters Christine Murray and Geneva Combs; brother Willard Madison Combs; grandchildren Jeffrey Combs, Michael Combs and Eric Combs; special uncles Danis Combs and Odis Ritchie.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, September 14, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 15. Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday with Rev. Dean Demaris officiating. Interment will be at Little Jink Ritchie Cemetery on Ball Creek.
