Mary Lois Huttenstine, 79, of Sidney, Ky., passed away Monday evening, September 17, 2012, at the Pikeville Medical Center.


She was born December 15, 1932, in Pike County, Ky., the daughter of the late Marvin and Orphia Maynard Elswick.


She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Conrad Huttenstine; and one sister, Phyllis Ann Francis.


She was a retired employee of the Pike County Board of Education and a member of the Hennon Church of Christ.


Survivors include one son, Dwayne (Melissa) Huttenstine of Hatfield, Ky.; three daughters, Annetta “Ann” (Larry) Stanley of Roanoke, Va., Bonnie (Scott) McAninch of Huntingdon, Tenn., and Donna (Brian) Elkins of Hatfield; adopted daughter, Nancy Blackburn of Varney, Ky.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-grea- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, at 11 a.m. in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery, Varney, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with special services Thursday night at 7 p.m.
