GARY, Ind. — Mrs. Flora Lee “Babe” Page, 90, formerly of Holden, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Methodist Northiake Hospital in Gary.

Born May 28, 1922, in Canton, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Josephine and Mauzine Hill. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Horatio T. Page; two sons, William Page and Horatio T. Page Jr.; two brothers, James L. Hill and James M. Hill, and three sisters, Joselyn Beatty, Ruth McCall, and Johnetta Thomas.

Mrs. Page was a member of Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at Holden. She was a loving, caring mother who loved everybody. She especially liked cooking and dancing.

Those whom she left to cherish her memory include daughters, Rosemary (Roosevelt) Heard of Detroit, Mich., Hilda Nalls of Gary, Judy (Rev. Tony) Murphy of Whitman, Evette Page of Logan and Mona Lisa Murphy of Holden; two sons, Thomas T. Page and Anthony Lamont Page, both of Logan; 25 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at noon Saturday, October 6, at Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Holden with Rev. Willie Lewis, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Flower bearers will be both granddaughters and great-granddaughters.

Arrangements are by Smith—Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home in Gary, Ind., and Pond Funeral Home of Aracoma.
