CHAVIES – A Perry County man was arrested last week and charged with trafficking in marijuana following what authorities say was a month-long investigation.

Raymond White, of Marion Mountain Drive, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 4 as the result of an investigation by the HIDTA drug task force, according to a release from the Perry County Police Department, which along with Kentucky State Police assisted in the execution of the search warrant.

Upon searching the home, officers allegedly seized an amount of marijuana along with approximately $1,100 in cash. White was charged and lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard.

While serving the search warrant, a second person was charged after police say he pulled into the driveway looking for White. Upon talking with the man, whose identity was not released, police located a small amount of marijuana in his vehicle. He was cited for possession and later released.
