CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Freddie Earl Maynard, 68, of Chapmanville, was born November 26, 1943, at Chapmanville, a son of the late Earl and Julia Barker Maynard. He departed this life Wednesday, October 10, 2012, due to a long illness at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House in Huntington.
Also preceding him in death was his brother, David L. Maynard.
Mr. Maynard was a handyman, electrician and machinist.
Survivors include his sons, David Maynard of Chapmanville and John Maynard of Scott Depot; daughter, Anita Maynard of Alum Creek, and grandchildren, Savannah, Allen, Jordan and Priscilla Maynard.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 15, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. Raamie Barker and Mr. Paul Hill officiating and Sharon Hill and Hughie Bryant singing. Burial will follow in the Maynard Cemetery on Barker Fork of Chapmanville.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
