Jesse W. Napier, 73, died Tuesday, Oct. 2 at his home in Reno, Nevada.
He was born in Hazard on Sept. 9, 1939, the son of the late John D. Napier, Sr. and Docia Duff Napier of Harveyton, Ky.
He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Campbell Napier, and his brother, John D. Napier, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Richard Napier and his daughter Rebecca Varner, both of Reno; grandchildren Katy, Amy, Derek, and Devin; brothers Oramious Napier of Airport Gardens, Clifton Napier of Wheatfield, Il., and Gordon Napier of Hazard; sisters Helen Neuland of Niagra Falls, New York, Shirley Robertson of Fort Walton Beach, Fl., Patricia Couch of Hamilton, Ohio, and Vera Stacy of Bonnyman. He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He will be interred in a military cemetery near Reno.
