HAZARD -- A Perry County man died Friday following a motorcycle accident on North Main Street.
Shaun Sizemore, 30, of Allais, was transported to the Hazard ARH Emergency Room after he apparently lost control of the motorcycle he was driving near the KFC. He was later flown to a trauma center where he was pronounced deceased.
According to Paul Campbell of the Hazard Police Department, the wreck in still under investigation, but from initial evidence it appears that the motorcycle was braking before laying over in the road. Sizemore was thrown from the bike and into the path of a car.
It will be some time before the specifics of the accident are known, however, the accident reconstruction is being done by the Hazard Police Department. We still need to do crush analysis on the car itself, and we will have to do some skid testing, said Campbell.
Funeral arrangements for Sizemore are being handled by Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard, where the visitation will be held Monday at 5 p.m.
