In Cross Country, Perry Central qualified their boys’ team and one girl to run in the State Meet on Saturday at the Horse Park in Lexington. PCC bettered their placement from last year finishing third of nine schools at the Regional meet held at Harlan County. Shawn Caudill grabbed the fourth place medal for the 5K race, also garnering All Area Team honors. Bradley Colwell and Hunter Newsome stepped up, setting personal records and breaking twenty minutes for the first time. Kayla Everidge earned a spot at the State Meet by placing in the top five of those not on a qualifying team.
