CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Karen Lynn Raines, 60, of Chapmanville, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 15, 2012, at CAMC General in Charleston.


Born August 20, 1952, in Logan, she was a daughter of Ralph Noe of Logan and the late Jeanette Evans Noe. Also preceding her in death was her grandparents, Arthur and Lori Evans and Frank and Maude Noe, and one brother, Randy Lee Noe.


Karen was an active member of Striker Bible Church. She loved the Lord her Savior with all her heart. She enjoyed traveling to St. Louis, Mo., to visit her children and two precious grandchildren. Karen had a great love for teaching and spent the last four years educating at South Western


Regional Jail.


Additionally, those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Thomas Raines; one daughter, Ashley (Chris) Cooper of St. Louis; one son, Thomas Kevin Raines of St. Louis; one sister-in-law, Theresa (Jerry) Dingess of Chapmanville; one brother, Gary Allen (Becky) Noe of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Madelyn Grace and Mason Grant Cooper, both of St.


Louis; her father and mother-in-law, Lowell and Jean Raines, and many special nieces and nephews.


Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 18, at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Tanner officiating. Burial will be private.


Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be family and friends.


Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
