HENLAWSON, W.Va. — Oley Grimmett Jr., 48, of Henlawson, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 20, 2012, from CAMC General Division in Charleston.
Born December 25, 1963, at Logan., he was a son of the late Oley and Mary Ann Maybry Grimmett. Also preceding him in death was one sister, Dora May Workman of Greenville.
Oley was a loving companion, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He spent his days four wheeling, hunting, spending time with family, and his specialty was grilling out.
Oley was a hardworking man, employed by Selah Coal Company as an underground miner. In the summer he was also self-employed as a contractor and landscaper. Oley was a well-liked and highly respected man, with a laugh that could fill a room.
Those left to cherish his memory include his life companion, Teresa Ann Taylor of Henlawson; four daughters, Whitney (Billy) Brown of Kistler, Katelyn Grimmett, at home, April (Michael) Creakman of Stollings, and Kenya (David) Mounts of Monaville; one sister, Tonya (Alex) Hensley of Mud Fork; one brother, Danny (Christine) Grimmett of Prescott, Arizona; one special brother-in-law, Rufus Workman; five grandchildren, Jessica, Brandi and Zachary Creakman, Jordin Mounts, and Caleb Brown, and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and many friends. He will be dearly missed and loved by all. Oley will also be missed by his newest companion and friend, Tyson
Oley wished to be cremated. Memorial services in honor of Oley’s life will be held at James Funeral Home at Aracoma from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, November 24.
