MORRISVILLE, Tenn. — Clifford Lee “Spike” Mangus, 56, of Mooresville, Tenn., formerly of Man, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in Hawkings Hospital at Mooresburg, Tenn., following a lingering illness.


Born March 13, 1956, at Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of Dorothy Trent Mangus of Greenvalley and the late Jennings Ray Mangus.


Also preceding him in death was one brother, Jennings Edwin “Eddie” Mangus.


Clifford was a graduate of Man High School, class of 1974. A coal miner, Clifford became disabled after 26 years of service. He was a member of the Aracoma Lodge AF& AM No. 99 of Logan.


Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 20 years, Mary Ann Mangus; three sons, Jarrett (Kerri) Mangus of Slidell, La., Brad Mangus of Charleston, and Brandon Mangus of Madison; one step-daughter, Brittany Fault, at home; one sister, Brenda (Paul) Perry of Greenvalley; three brothers, Ernie (Kay) Mangus of Greenvalley, Michael (Abbi) Mangus of Baisden, and Phillip (Tina) Mangus of Sissonville; five grandchildren, Landon, Isaiah, Colton, Hunter and Paige, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Baker officiating. Honoring Clifford’s wishes, his remains have been cremated.


Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
