Phillip Martin Dingus, age 61, of Whitley County, Ind., passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at 2:20 p.m., in Parkview Regional Medical Center, in Fort Wayne, Ind.


He was born Nov. 28, 1950, at Hite, to Lacy and Pauline (Shepherd) Dingus. He had lived in Whitley County since 1963. He previously worked for Lawwill Products as a wirecutter.


Phillip is survived by four sisters, Nancy Woods, of South Whitley, Ind., and Patricia Minnix, Willa Fay Dingus and Hester Dingus, all of Pierceton, Ind.; two brothers, Denny (and spouse, Karen) Dingus, of South Whitley, and Mitchell (and spouse, Connie) Dingus, of New Concord, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.


A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at Boonville Cemetery, in Whitley County, with Pastor Carl Hiernstra officiating. No calling is planned.


McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, in Pierceton, is handling the arrangements.
