Betty Ruth Wolford, 62, of Ransom, Ky., passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the Good Shepherd Community Nursing Center at Phelps, Ky.


Born February 20, 1950, in Pike County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Earl McKinley and Rebecca Charles Tilley.


In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ronald Wolford; one son, Ronald Scott Wolford; and one daughter, Rhonda Sue Caudill.


She was a homemaker and was of the Assemblies of God faith.


Survivors include two sons, Mark Edward (Angie) Wolford and David Paul (Melanie) Wolford both of McVeigh, Ky.; one daughter, Kathy Jean Wolford of Ransom; two brothers Jimmy (Regina) Tiller of Dansville, Ga., and Billy Slone of Atlanta, Ga.; her sister and best friend in Christ Rose (Calvin) Campbell of McCarr, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.


Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 1, at noon from the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Ky., with the Rev. Terry Joe Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in the Alley Cemetery at McCarr, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home with special services nightly at 7 p.m.
