Russell Edward “Bo” Christian, 60, of Delbarton, passed away November 28, 2012, at the Logan Regional Hospital.
He was born April 13, 1952, at Panther, the son of the late Robert Russell and Dolly Hagy Christian.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Ray Christian, Robert Winnie Christian and Ronnie Christian.
Russell was known as “Bo” by all his family and friends. Bo Loved working on cars, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a animal lover and his dearest side kick was his dog, a jack russell terrier named “Bo Russell.”
Bo is survived by his wife, Mary Blankenship Christian; son, Russell Ed Christian; daughter, Samantha (Gordon) Bowechop; and stepdaughter, Stephanie Blankenship Willis. He has six grandchildren and one great-grandson, four sisters, Gene (Rodney) Marder, Linda (Serafino) Giannola, Dorothy Hipps and a brother, Leon (Elizabeth) Lester. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Saturday evening December 1, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with special services starting at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Ceburn Blankenship officiating.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4, at noon at the Montclair-Lucainia Funeral Home in Chicago, Ill. Burial will follow in the Elm Lawn Cemetery in Chicago. Viewing at the funeral home in Chicago will start at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
