MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. - The Alice Lloyd College men’s basketball team fell in its latest outing, dropping a road game in Tennessee. Host Milligan College, a member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), defeated the Eagles 74-63 Monday night.
Alice Lloyd dropped to 6-6 after suffering the loss.
Kurt Brooks and Torian Sitton led balanced Milligan (5-4) with 13 points apiece.
After falling behind 6-2, Alice Lloyd scored the next 12 points to take a 14-6 lead at the 12-minute mark. Milligan, however, closed the half on a 28-14 run. Following the run, Milligan led 34-28 at halftime.
Milligan extended its lead to as many as 18 points in the second half before Alice Lloyd cut the margin down to 11. That would be as close as the visiting Eagles would get the rest of the way.
Alice Lloyd featured three scorers in double figures. Alice Lloyd guard Isaac Wilson led all scorers with a game-high 20 points. Terry Muse had 16 points and led the Alice Lloyd team in rebounds with 10. Cody Stumbo added 11 points for the Eagles.
Alice Lloyd shot 36 percent from the field, including five-of-16 beyond the arc.
Milligan put the ball in the basket 54 percent of the time while connecting on six-of-12 from 3-point range.
