Elizabeth Vinciguerra age 95, of Red Jacket, W.Va., departed this life on Friday December 21, 2012, at her home.


She was born on April 2, 1917, in Summers County, W.Va.


Her husband Philip Vinciguerra precedes her in death.


In addition to being a devoted homemaker, Elizabeth, was a retired educator having worked 43 years in the Mingo County, W.Va., school system, and she was also a member of the Matewan, W.Va. United Methodist Church.


Those left to honor her loving memory and mourn her passing include her daughters Elizabeth (Doug) Neace, Margaret (Eddie) Goff both of Red Jacket, W.Va., Jenny (Charlie) Harris of Roanoke, Va., and Philip Ann (George) Haydu of Matewan, W.Va., grandchildren Jennifer (Todd) Tomlin, Lisa (Alan) Hicks, Philip Goff, Philip Keith Ashby, Beth (Jeff) Taylor, Michael (Tara) Goff, George (Melissa) Haydu and Karen (Kerry) Haydu, great grandchildren Cameron, Philip, Caroline, Ella, Weston, Kaitlyn, Owen, Connor, Samuel, Caiden, and Kenley.


Elizabeth is also survived by a community of neighbors and friends.


Honoring services will be conducted on Monday December 24, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the Matewan, W.Va. United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ron Accord and Don Matney officiating, burial will then follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery of Pecks Mill, W.Va.


Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to honor Elizabeth’s memory to the Matewan, W.Va. United Methodist Church, the Red Jacket Community Church, or Dignity Hospice Po Box 4304 Chapmanville, W.Va. 25508.


The family will begin receiving friends on Sunday December 23, 2012, from 6-9:00 p.m., at the Chambers Funeral Services chapel.


Arrangements are under the direction of Chambers Funeral Services, Inc., of Matewan, W.Va.
