HARTS, W.Va. — Bonnie Vance Workman, 63, of Toney Road at Harts, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 29, 2012, at CAMC General Division in Charleston.

Born September 16, 1949, in West Hamlin, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Robert “Bob” and Velva L. Richards Vance, who she will be meeting on the other side. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Lloyd, Lawson and Rev. Ward Vance; one sister, Essie Watts; one nephew, Keith Workman Jr., and two nieces, Michelle Vance and Wilma Coates.

Bonnie was a member of Little Harts Freewill Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Hobert A. Workman; two children, Kathy (Scott) Maynard and Craig (Carrie) Adkins; three stepchildren, Margaret, Pamela Dawn and Hobert Workman II; four sisters, Dolly Adkins of Xenia, Ohio, Effie Mills of Midkiff, and Mayme (Harley) Wiley and Virginia (Keith) Workman, both of Toney Road; three brothers, Cleve Vance of Atenville, her brother and Pastor, Rev. Moses (Jane) Vance of Harts, and Rev. Clifford (Debbie) Vance of Toney Road; four grandchildren, Sandra (Frankie) Maynard, Susan Ashlee Workman, Kayla (Eric) Adkins and Haley Adkins; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ciara and Tyler Maynard; one aunt, Eliza Walls of Bruno; her in-laws, Birdie Ferguson, Lacy (Brenda) Workman, Leroy (Joyce) Workman, Dollie (Bobbie) Clay and Ida Vance; 31 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, at Little Harts Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Eric “Tubby” Rakes and Charlie Rakes officiating. Burial will follow at Robert “Bob” Vance Cemetery at Little Harts of Hart.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
