SOUTH POINT, Ohio — Glen Frye, 70, of South Point, Ohio, formerly of Mud Fork, departed this life Thursday, December 27, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.


Born April 7, 1942, at Wilsondale, he was a son of the late Harmon and Florence Maynard Frye. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Bernie, and one sister, Freda Tomblin.


Mr. Frye was a former car salesman for Moses Pontiac for 16 years; he enjoyed sports and loved to bowl with his brothers. He was also a member of the Maryetta United Baptist Church.


Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Janet Sanders Frye; four sons, Glen Frye Jr. and Jerry Frye, both of Niles, Mich., Dana Frye of South Point, Ohio, and Chris Adkins of Chesapeake, Ohio; one daughter, Sherry Bunch of Niles; step-daughter, Paula Bentley of Kitts Hill, Ohio; three brothers, Garland Fisher Frye of Mingo County, Harmon Frye Jr. of Rockford, Mich., and Dallas Frye of Verdunville; two sisters, Eula Hatfield of Holden and Joyce Cantley of Portage, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.


Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 31, at Honaker Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Skeens officiating. Burial will follow in Frye Cemetery at Verdunville.


Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.


Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
