Savanna Brooklyn Watts, age 9, departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 29 at her home in Little Leatherwood.

She was born Oct. 29, 2003 in Lexington, Ky., the daughter of Eric Watts and Nikki Watts. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Keith Caudill; maternal great-grandmother Irene Shepherd; paternal great-grandfather Kermit Caudill; and paternal great aunt Margie Watts.

Savanna enjoyed going to Dairy Queen and getting French fries, and watching Elmo and Barney. She touched everyone’s life she came into contact with.

She is survived by her mother, Nikki Watts and C.B. Hall of Cornettsville; father Eric Watts and Mary of Hallie, step-brother Aeryn Edwards of Hallie; maternal grandparents Barb and Phillip Slone of Cornettsville; paternal grandparents Martha and Darrell Watts of Hallie; maternal great-grandparents Bob and Marie Sizemore of Cornettsville; maternal great-grandfather Junior Shepherd of Cornettsville; paternal great-grandmother Georgia Caudill of Hallie; uncles Keith Caudill and Isaac Caudill, and Dennis Watts and wife Jocelyn; cousins Dylan and Mallory Watts; special friends Annie, Destiny and Tim Mullins, and Kylie Roberts; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Jan. 1 at noon at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church with Jeff Sloan officiating. The interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery located at Cornettsville. The visitation will be at the Big Leatherwood First Baptist Church on Monday evening starting at 6 p.m .

Arrangements are being handled by Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard.
