Bessie Couch Slusher, 64, of Versailles, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, Jan 3 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
She was born on December 5, 1948 in Dwarf to the late Jesse Couch and Gladys Childers Couch, and was also preceded in death by siblings Willard Childers, Jesse Couch, Jr., Ed Couch, Joyce Adams, and Mildred Childers. She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Williamsburg.
She is survived by daughters Joy Mack and husband Craig of Williamsburg, and Tammy Kalifut and husband Matthew of Versailles; grandchildren Aaron Mack and Makayla Mack, both of Williamsburg; sisters Lucille Begley of Winchester, Ky. and Blanche Johnson and husband Curt of Hazard; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Croley Funeral Home of Williamsburg, where the services were held on Monday, Jan. 7 with Rev. Albert Jones and Rev. Bill Wright officiating. She was laid to rest in the Oaklawn Addition of the Pleasant View Cemetery.
