CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mrs. Anna Belle Elkins, 85, of Chapmanville, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at her residence.

Born July 8, 1927, in Raleigh County, she was a daughter of the late Otto Lee and Stella Luther Jarrell.

Anna Belle was a former employee of National Mine Service and retired from Sears Roebuck in Logan. She was a 1946 graduate of Scott High School, a member of the Chapmanville United Baptist Church and had served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader.

Also preceding her in death was her father and mother-in-law, Rev. Homer and Roma Ball Elkins; brothers, Denver D. Jarrell and Archie Ray Jarrell, and sisters, Helen Jean Taylor, Linda Lou Jarrell and Ruth Carol Rose.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Chester Earl Elkins; she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother of daughters, Abra Lynn Elkins of Morgantown, Antha (Chuck) Stickel of Slickville, Pa., and their children, Tiffany (Ross) Lewis of Henrico, Va., and Chase Stickel of Morgantown, Jennifer (Michael) Spangler and their children Gloria, Caitlyn, and Stella, all of St. Albans, and Tracia (Rick) Stache and their children, John Jarrell and James Ian, all of Morgantown, Erica Stache of Wheeling, and Emily and Elliot Stache of Fairmont; siblings, Gertrude Tackett of Mill Creek, Delores (Fred) Browning of Blair, Doris Elaine Ball of St. Albans, Otto (Judy) Jarrell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brenda Beddoes of Westerville, Ohio, and Dallas Jarrell of Racine, Ohio; a special sister-in-law, Betty Jarrell Williamson of Chapmanville, and special daughter, Lajeana Justice Kessler of Chapmanville.

Memorial services will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, January 12, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
