TAPLIN, W.Va. — Freddy “Pete” Williams, 57, of Taplin, left this world Thursday, January 10, 2013, at his home.

He was a UMWA construction worker who worked all over the United States for many years. Pete enjoyed reading and was an avid outdoorsman, naturalist, and hunter — truly a free spirit. A loyal friend, Pete was very giving, trusting and selfless.

Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include one son, Nic Williams and his wife, Natasha, and their seven month old daughter, Mia Grace, all of Bloomingrose; one sister, LaDonna (Bobby) Bryant of Man; two brothers, Gary Lee (Geneva) Williams of Peterstown and Michael (Ashley) Williams of Robinette; his uncles and aunts, Winsel and Grace Elliott of Taplin, Clinton and Jean Collins of Davin, Homer Williams of Trenton, Mich., Larry Williams of Dearborn, Mich., Gladys Elliott of Neibert, and Linda Dillon of Danville; his ex-wife and mother of his son, Cindy Cazin Megerle of Ogdensburg, N.Y.; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Keffer, Craig Bryant, Katie Ables, Jeffrey Williams, David Williams, Madison Keffer, Sydney Keffer, Payton Bryant and Camryn Bryant, and a host of other relatives and friends.
