Bob was employed by Amherst Coal Company and a member of the St. Edmund Catholic Church at Man. He also served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Bob attended West Virginia University where he played football for his “beloved” Mountaineers and was an inductee into the Man High School Sports Hall of Fame. However, Bob will be most remembered for his infectious laugh, his passion for life, wonderful sense of humor, and above all, his love for his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his three daughters, Sally (Larry) Wickline of Beckley, Becky (Elmer) Bailey of Man, and Susan Rowe of Charleston; three grandchildren, Larry (Kathleen) Wickline II of Beckley, Andrea Bailey and her fiancé, Seth Hoblitzel, of Charleston, and Joe Wickline of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two great grandchildren, Trey and Natalie Wickline of Beckley; his sister, Peggy (Don) Chura of St. Louis, Mo., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 17, at St. Edmund Catholic Church at Man with Father David Glockner officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Thursday at the church social hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001, or on line at www.alzfdn.org , or St. Edmund Catholic Church, 106 North Bridge St., Man, WV 25635 or a charity of your choice.
