PIPPA PASSES - The Alice Lloyd College men’s basketball team split Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) games late last week, defeating St. Louis College of Pharmacy before falling to Indiana University East. Here’s a look back at both games.


ALC 71, SLCOP 43: Facing a conference opponent on a neutral floor, the Alice Lloyd College men’s basketball team rolled over St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Friday, winning 71-43 at Berea College’s Seabury Center.


Alice Lloyd faced some early resistance from St. Louis College of Pharmacy before pulling away to lead 32-22 at halftime.


The Eagles added to their lead after intermission, outscoring the Eutectics 39-21 in the second half.


Terry Muse led Alice Lloyd (9-11 overall, 2-5 KIAC) with a game-high 15 points. Cody Stumbo followed Muse’s top scoring total, adding 10 points for the Eagles.


Alice Lloyd shot 36.6 percent (26-of-71) from the field. The Eagles were 11-of-14 (78.6 percent) from the free throw line.


Shawn Menchowski paced St. Louis College of Pharmacy (5-7 overall, 0-2 KIAC) with 12 points.


Alice Lloyd’s defensive pressure got to SLCOP. The Eagles held the St. Louis-based team to 29.8 percent shooting (17-of-57) from the field.


IUE 101, ALC 85: Alice Lloyd fell behind early in a road matchup versus Indiana University East on Saturday. Host Indiana University East sprinted out to a 29-12 lead and led 52-40 at halftime. The Red Wolves remained out in front in the second half, eventually winning 101-85.


With the win, Indiana University East improved to 13-7 overall and 3-2 in the KIAC.


Alice Lloyd slipped to 9-12 overall and 3-2 in the KIAC after suffering the loss.


Huston Clark paced Indiana University East with a game-high 24 points.


Tyler Rogers led Alice Lloyd with 17 points and 12 rebounds, registering a double-double.


Terry Muse scored 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds for Alice Lloyd in the loss.


Aiding Alice Lloyd in the conference contest, Isaac Wilson, Justin Hobbs and Nick Litton added 10 points apiece.
