BIG CREEK, W.Va. — Mr. Frank “Buddy” Roberts, 90, of Big Creek, was born November 21, 1922, at Limestone, a son of the late Jess and Madgie Estep Roberts. He departed this life Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Roberts was a retired salesman from Estep Wholesale, a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army-Air Corp and a member of the Shining Light United Baptist Church and the America Legion.

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Clara Kathryn Roberts, on February 16, 2008, and a sister, Nellie Ferrell.

Survivors include his children, Mike (Kaye) Roberts and Jennifer Smith (Mick Halstead), both of Chapmanville, and Donnie (Anita) Roberts of Peterstown; grandchildren, Angela Roberts Nunnally, Tony (Gail) Roberts, Kevin (Mendy) Roberts, Jason (Cynthia) Roberts, Stephen (Jenni) Roberts, Darrin Roberts, Judi (Sean) King, Jennifer (Bo) Frye, Brandon (Amber) Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Kristi Cline and Hershel Adkins; great-grandchildren, Michael and Kylena Nunnally, Forrest, Abigail, Nathan, Emilee, Codie, Jaden, Chase, Brooke, Clarissa, Tristan and Hayden Roberts, Liam King, Kristyn, Madison and Carter Frye and Lexi and Allie Adkins; sisters, Anna Jean (Fred) Runyon, Kathlean Conley and Opal Enochs, and three brothers-in-law, Quincy, Jim and Jerry Hutchinson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 9, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Orville Syner and Rev. Sherman Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill with Military Graveside Rites.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
