Erma Jean Johnson Scott, 25, of Williamson, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Ky., following a battle with cancer.


Born April 1, 1987, in Marysville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Erma Jean Blevins Johnson of Williamson, and the late William Richard Johnson.


In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Renae Waller.


She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her stepfather Claude Whitt of Ransom, Ky; two daughters, Tammy Renae Johnson and Cloe Lynn Scott, both of Williamson; one sister, Helen Sue (Eric) Pennington of Williamson; a half-brother, Gregory Lee Johnson of Inez, Ky.; two stepbrothers, Eric and Adam Whitt of Ransom, Ky.; four half-sisters, Brenda Bowens, Linda Ball, Shelia Whitt, and Shirley Whitt all of Inez, Ky.; two nephews, William “Will” Richard Johnson and Jacob Lee Johnson; one niece, Madison Pennington; and a host of other family and friends.


Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at noon from the Nolan Church of God Acts 20:28 with Bertha Hockenberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Falls Branch Cemetery on Falls Branch, Williamson, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Ky., and after noon Tuesday at the Nolan Church of God Acts 20:28 with special services at 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
