Bransford “Brown” Feltner, 72, died Tuesday, Feb. 26 at his residence in Wooton, Ky.

He was born May 20, 1940, in Hazard the son of the late Lax Feltner and the late Zola Fields Feltner, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Feltner; brothers Ark, Festus, Hansford, and Doris Feltner; sisters Ruby Holland, Jean Huff, Nancy Wilson, and Orphie Lewis; and one granddaughter.

He was a life-long resident of Perry and Leslie counties, a retired coal miner, and member of the Tribbey Church of God. He enjoyed going to church and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Kelly Feltner and wife Sandy of Hazard; step-sons Thomas Campbell and Mary of Hazard, and Tony Vetter and wife Candy of Carmi, Il.; daughters Katrina Kay Miller of Indiana, Ruby Churchill and husband Jesse of Hardburly, Bonnie Begley and husband Johnny of Wooton, and Angie Sellers and husband Steve of Hazard; brothers Omar Feltner of Yerkes and Darrell Feltner of Ohio; sisters Bethel Baker of Hazard and Edith Holland of Typo; along with 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Campbell and Johnny Ambrose officiating. The interment will follow in the Ambrose Family Cemetery located at Yerkes. The visitation will begin on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m.
