The Madison Rotary Club learned about a new program, called the West Virginia Vulnerable Needs Planning System, from Kathy Humphrey, right, of the Boone County Health Department when she was the club’s guest speaker on February 21. This is a new system, covering nine counties including Boone, which allows residents with special needs the opportunity to provide personal information to emergency planning officials. This information will be utilized to plan for emergencies such as natural disasters, terrorist attacks, special needs shelters, and other local emergencies. To register, or for more information about this planning system, contact Lisa Holstein at the Boone County Health Department, call 304-369-7970 or visit her website at lisa.m.holstein@wv.gov Ms. Humphrey was introduced by Rotarian Donna Chaney Sayre, left.
