WEST LOGAN, W.Va. — Mr. Ora Miller, a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather, 86, of West Logan, formerly of Whitman and Dehue, departed this life Monday, March 8, 2013, with his daughters by his side.


Born February 14, 1927, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Linzy and Georgia Miller. Also preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Goldie Lorene Miller; son, Marvin Dale Johnson; son-in-law, George Barlow Ramey; siblings, Orville, Owen, Oakie, Hobert, Homer, Roy, Nelly, Nori, Marthy, Lucille and Nona, and a special pet, Katie.


Ora was a proud member of the UMWA and a coal miner at Youngstown Mines Corporation-Dehue Mine. He enjoyed working in his yard, planting flowers, spending time with his grandchildren and family. He formerly attended No. 20 Whitman Community Church.


Those left to cherish his memory include: four daughters, Carolyn (Michael) Nolletti and Patricia Eighmy both of Logan, and Leilah (Wallace) Coleman and Janet Barfield, both of Fort Mill, S.C.; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Johnson of Lexington, S.C.; one brother, Ray (Teresa) Miller of Huntington; two sisters, Carrie Stollings of Virginia and Laura (Cecil) Adkins of Huntington; 12 grandchildren, Sherman (Angie) Williamson of Manassas, Va., Ryan (Txema) Williamson of Barcelona, Spain, Lori Nahay of Dublin, Ohio, Rebecca (Wesley) Nagy of Logan, Marvin Jr., Martin, Marcus and Marlin (Brandy) Johnson of Lexington, S.C., Stephanie (Danny) Nunley and A.J. Barfield, both of Fort Mill, S.C., Michelle (Gene) Brumfield of Rock Hill, S.C., and Paula (Mark) Weber of Florida; 11 great-grandchildren, Brianna and Alyssa Williamson, Steven Nahay, Derek and Chase (Krystal) Nunley, Peyton and Alyssa Brumfield, Abigail and Ava Nagy, A.J. Johnson and Logan Weber; two great-great-grandchildren, Bryson and Connor Nunley; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives.


Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2013 with services beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Honaker Funeral Home with Minister Charlie Abraham and Rev. Ray Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.


Pallbearers will be A.J. Barfield, Michael Nolletti, Chase Nunley, Danny Nunley, Derek Nunley and Sonny Williamson.


Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Adkins, Gene Brumfield, Peyton Brumfield, Wesley Nagy, Marvin Jr., Martin, Marcus and Marlin Johnson and Ryan Williamson.
