CROWN, W.Va. — Betty Frances Tackett, 79, of Crown, went to her heavenly home Friday, March 15, 2013, from Logan Regional Medical Center after a long illness.

Born June 26, 1933, at Portsmouth, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Rachel Alice Lewis Collins. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Edward Tackett; two sisters, Clara Lucille Collins and Mary Elizabeth Craft, and two brothers, Merle and Eddie Collins.

Betty was a homemaker and a devoted mother. She enjoyed reading.

Those left to cherish memory include seven children, Gordon Tackett, Dallas (Sharon) Tackett, Lewis (Delana) Tackett, James (Mary) Tackett, and Kenneth Tackett, all of Accoville, and Robert (Marion) Tackett and Clara Toler, both of Kopperston; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Sherry and Charles Duncan of Accoville, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held noon Monday, March 18, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. LeRoy Maynard Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
