The Perry County Central Commodores played their first home game of the season on Saturday as they took on the Pike County Central Hawks. The Hawks defeated the Commodores 9-2 last week.

The Hawks got on the board first, scoring a single run in the first and second inning. The Commodores would then cut the lead in half (2-1) with a run in the bottom of the inning. Jordan Baker got Perry Central rolling with a hit. Austin Pray took the base for Baker, and quickly stole second and then third. Pray would later score on an error by the Hawks. It would be the Commodores’ only run.

Pike Central would score three more runs in the game, giving them the 5-1 win.
