Communities raise money to help child
by Debbie Rolen
The community is coming together to support a four-year-old they refer to as their super hero.
Several tumors have invaded the tiny body of Joshua Gabriel “Gabe” Lyall, the son of Josh and Erina Lyall.
There are tumors on Gabe’s heart, liver and he has a mass in his chest. A biopsy on his liver confirmed the tumor as being stage four cancer.
Gabe is a patient at Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, where he is currently undergoing chemotherapy, which his parents say he is tolerating pretty well so far.
The family has a long way to go on a difficult path for Gabe and the family has expressed its sincere appreciation for the support they have received from family and friends, especially the prayers.
The community is coming together to have a “Super Silent Auction” to be held Friday, April 5, at Man Middle School. Item viewing and bidding starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 7:45 p.m., and winning bidders will be announced shorting after.
Winning bidders must be present to pay and take the item, but may come in to look at the items and bid, then leave and come back after bidding ends to learn who the winners are.
The listing of items to be included in the auction includes “31” purses and totes, Mary Kay products, Origami Owl, Primitives, gift certificates for photos, tart and candle gift baskets, custom made hair bows, fishing tackle and many others.
