HAMLIN – The Tug Valley Panthers traveled to Hamlin Wednesday to take on Lincoln County, but came home with a 12-6 loss.

Tug Valley took the early lead scoring three runs in the top of the 1st inning, while the home team plated one run.

But LCHS went ahead with four runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning, three in the third to take the lead for good. The home team scored one run in each of the next two innings, and two in the bottom of the 6th.

Tug Valley made a late run scoring three in the 7th inning, but could not get over the hump.

Grant Bates got the win on the mound for Lincoln County, while Jordon Mounts took the loss.

David Runyon and Trevin Horn each had two hits for Tug Valley. Both had one RBI and one of Runyon’s hits was a double. Josh Cassell, A.J. Vance and Mikey Newsome each had one hit. Vance scored a pair of runs and had an RBI.

Colby Brogan and Tyler Jeffers each had a pair of hits for LCHS. Grant Bates, Brynnan Fakourey and Forrest Campbell each had a hit.
