Evert Ford McCoy, 80, of Williamson, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Ky.


Born August 25, 1932, in Martin County, Ky., he was the son of the late Mose and Mirttie Combs McCoy.


In addition to his parents, his is preceded in death by two brothers, Monie McCoy and James Thomas McCoy; and a sister, Nettie McCoy.


Ford was a graduate of Chattaroy High School. He went on to attended business school, continuing his education in the field of accounting. He worked for a number of years at Jessie & Jessie, CPA, in Williamson. He also operated his own accounting business for many years.


Ford was of the Old Regular Baptist Church faith.


Ford is survived by a brother, Wheeler McCoy of Williamson; nine nephews; and three nieces.


Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, at Weaver Mortuary in West Williamson. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., immediately following the visitation. Elder Bobby Scott and other elders will officiate. Interment is in the Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher. McCoy family members will serve as pallbearers.
