CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Belva Bryant Stone, 87, of Chapmanville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at her residence.


Born August 13, 1925, in Shively, she was a daughter of the late Lenard and Gracie Butcher Bryant. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Froud Stone; one son, Garry Belcher; one son-in-law, Gary Justice; one sister, Bricie, and three brothers, Kenneth “Carp”, Bill and Mack Bryant.


Belva accepted the Lord in her life and gained heavens reward. She loved cooking, cleaning, gardening, canning, pitching horseshoes, playing pool and having her family around her.


Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Linda (Tom) Tomblin and Patty Justice; two sons, Larry (Sharon) Belcher and Kenny (Jeanne) Belcher; one step-son, Bob (Hilda) Belcher; grandchildren, Gerilynn (Scott) Wilson, Travis Tomblin, Stacy (John) King, Lori Justice (Daniel Johnson), Alisha, Terry and Larry (Tonya) Belcher, Nacole (Dino) Evans, and Michael (Travella) Belcher; precious great-grandchildren, David and Abigail Wilson, Evan King, Colton, Caden and Alexis Belcher, Kevin Lee and Corey Hoops, and Tori and Logan Taylor; a special sister, Sadie Bryant, and special friend, Sue Butcher.


A special thanks to Nacole for all her love and support. Thanks to Joann for her faithful weekly phone calls and to Dignity Hospice for their loving care.


Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor John Godby, Pastor Richard Tanner and Rev. Bobby Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.


Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.


Pallbearers will be her grandsons.


Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Akers and Rev. Bobby Belcher.


Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of arrangements.
