STOLLINGS, W.Va. — Mr. Paul T. Golice, 87, of Stollings, departed this life Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born January 1, 1926, in Logan, he was a son of the late Paul and Helen Adkins Golice. Also preceding him in death was his loving wife, Irene, and one sister, Auleen Barker.
Mr. Golice was a former mechanic for Logan Concrete, an auto-body repairman, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving with the SeaBees during World War II. He was an avid fisherman and was famous for his bright blue eyes.
Survivors include one son, Bruce Golice of Barboursville; one daughter ,Sandra (Jerry) Southall, of Barboursville; one step-son, James Adkins of Lake; two step-daughters, Jani (Michael) Layman of Roanoke, Va., and Patricia (Terry) Gilliam of Melville; one brother, Fred (Dottie) Golice of Winston-Salem, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
There will be no before service viewing hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your local Disabled American Veterans chapter.
