PIKEVILLE - Pikeville High School senior Ethan Rowe, this year’s 15th Region Player of the Year, has made his college choice official by signing with Transylvania University.

Rowe ranked as one of the state’s top scorers during his senior season, averaging 22.7 points per game. The productive Rowe also connected on nearly 37 percent of his attempts from 3-point range.

Rowe helped lead Pikeville to its first 15th Region All “A” Classic in 20 years. The guard also helped lead Pikeville to the semifinals of the 15th Region Tournament.

Pikeville exited the 2012-13 season 22-11 following a loss to Johnson Central in the 15th Region Semifinals.
