HARTS, W.Va. — Brenda Kay Woodrum Workman, 62, of Harts, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.


Born August 3, 1950, at Big Ugly, she was a daughter of the late Monnie and Sonia Cevena Vannatter Woodrum. Also preceding her in death was her grandfather, Paterson Vannatter, and one son, Monnie Dean “Chipper” Workman.


Brenda enjoyed going to church, traveling, camping and boating.


Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lacy Earl Workman of Big Ugly; one daughter, Sonia Kay (Jeff) Lambert; one son, Lacy Earl “Chopper” Workman Jr.; one daughter-in-law, Gaynelle Workman; one stepson, Lawrence Scott (Monica) Mullins; one sister, Debbie (James) Lucas; one brother, Curt (Patty) Woodrum; 10 grandchildren, Shelby Mullins, Paterson Workman, Sada Workman, Monnie Workman II, Christopher Workman, Tiffany Workman, David Wilburn, Jonathan Wilburn, Jeffery Lambert and Kaylee Lambert; four great-grandchildren and one on the way, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.


Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with President Hank Stowers officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.


Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Funeral Home.


Pallbearers will be family and friends.


Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
