The Perry County Central Lady Commodores took to the diamond last week against the Breathitt County Lady Bobcats. The Lady Commodores scored all their runs early, and squashed a late rally by the Lady Bobcats to claim the 4-2 win.


The Lady Commodores scored single runs in each of the first four innings, giving them the 4-0 lead. Perry Central would not find the plate down the stretch.


Breathitt County would wait until the seventh inning to get their offense in gear. The Lady Bobcats scored two quick runs, but could not rattle the Lady Commodore defense. Perry Central was able to end the rally, and claim the 4-2 victory.


Shelby Sheffield picked up the win, going the distance with five hits, nine strikeouts, and one walk.
