EASTERN - Allen Central High School senior Courtney Hodge has signed to play volleyball at the University of Pikeville. Hodge ranked as one of the state’s top high school volleyball players during her senior season.

“A phenomenal player, Cricket will definitely be an asset for UPike,” Allen Central Coach Larry Maynard commented, referring to the ACHS senior by her nickname. “She is an all-round player, understands the game and gives 120 percent. I know she will succeed and excel for Coach Gassman and add depth to the UPike volleyball team and program.”

Hodge was named the 2012 Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association 15th Region Player of the Year. She was named the 15th Region Tournament MVP and also earned a Second Team All-State nod.

Hodge ranked fourth in the state in assists during her senior season.

Lindsey Wilson is the reigning Mid-South Conference volleyball champion. The Blue Raiders have captured back-to-back Mid-South Conference titles.
