White family reunion
The family of the late Robert and Elise White of Gordon will be having the White family reunion on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at the Van Park.
Please bring a covered dish and come out spend the day with family and friends. Everyone is welcome to attend this reunion.

Wharton-Barrett VFD hosting EVT test
An Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) test date has been set-up for The Wharton-Barrett Volunteer Fire Department. The test will be held on Saturday June 8 at 10 a.m. Any desired EVT Certification Test can be administered at our department on that date. Please register at https://register.evtcc.org/

Western Regional CASA reaches Kanawha, Lincoln, Boone, Putnam, Cabell, and Wayne Counties. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a non-profit organization that desires for every child in abuse/neglect proceedings to receive a permanent residence. Volunteers gather information and advocate on the behalf of the children within a case.
Right now, Boone County is looking for volunteers, so come help reach that many more children in our communities.

Experience West Virginia Opens Workshop Registration
Walking tours of historic towns, nature hikes, arts and crafts workshops, Appalachian history performances, and simulated air travel are just a few of the myriad of offerings being presented this summer by Experience West Virginia.
