The Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Pikeville to take on the Panthers last week. The Commodores fell behind early and were not able to make up the difference.

Pikeville got on the board first, picking up two runs in the second inning and another run in the third frame (3-0). The Panthers added to their advantage in the fifth inning, giving them the 4-0 lead.

Perry Central’s only runs came in the sixth inning when they plated two runs to bring the tally to 4-2. Pikeville closed out the game with a run, bringing the final tally to 5-2.

Perry Central stats: Austin Neace 1 run, Tanner Collins 1 run, Jordan Baker 1 hit and 1 RBI, Seth Napir 1 RBI and Ryan Smith 1 hit.
