PIKEVILLE – A player who knows a thing or two about what it takes to be a champion has signed to play soccer at the University of Pikeville.

Brandon Lopez, who is graduating from Franklin Road Christian School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., will join the Bears in the fall.

Lopez is a 5-11, 165-pound left defender who plays for Tennessee Soccer Club, which has won six state championships. He is a three-star recruit according to Top Drawer Soccer.
