PRINCETON, W.Va. — Iris M. Browning, 83, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Glenwood Park Retirement Village in Princeton.

Born November 26, 1929, in Verdunville, she was a daughter of the late Spencer and Laura Adkins Mullins. Also preceding her in death was her husband James “Jack” I. Browning; son, James “Tim” T. Browning; sisters, Carrie Stewart, Ruby Farley and Anna Rogers; brothers Sterlie Mullins and Bill Mullins, and great-grandchild, James “Brad” Browning.

Iris was a beautician for the “House of Fashion” in Logan, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Princeton Praise and Worship Center in Princeton.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Connie J. Thompson of Princeton; brothers, Kennis Mullins of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Jim Mullins of Princeton; sisters, Charlotte Nielson of Florida and Peggy (Peter) Mamula of Huntington; grandchild, Derrick “Andy” Thompson and great-grandchildren, Zeke Browning and Ocean Browning, both of Palm Harbor, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, 450 Courthouse Rd., Princeton, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Graveside rites will follow Sunday, May 26, at 1 p.m. at Highlands Memory Gardens at Godby. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
