After a groundout to short, shortstop Beth Cook then delivered a game-tying RBI single to shortstop to make it 2-2.

Tomblin pitched 6.1 innings and gave up three runs and seven hits with nine strikeouts and four walks.

Man led 1-0 in the top of the second as Cari Blair walked and scored on Tomblin’s RBI double down the right field line.

The Lady Billies went back on top 2-1 in the top of the sixth as Summer Sword singled and scored on Blair’s RBI single.

Danica Rogers was the starting and winning pitcher for Moorefield. She hurled a complete game as she allowed two runs and six hits with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Riggleman was 2-for-4 at the plate for the Yellow Jackets. Katelynn Wills and McKenzie Weese added hits for Moorefield.

Man was making its first trip to the state tournament since 2010 when it was the runner-ups to South Harrison.
